We’ve spiced up another classic. When the temperatures fall, it is the perfect time to discover the secrets of this favourite comfort cake. Paired with a lovely, rich vegan Sauce Anglaise, you’ll want to serve this dessert time and time again. We like to elevate the lavishness of this cake by serving it with a poached pear, but you don’t have to. Either way, incredible aromas await you ….
Yield: 12 – 16 servings

Ingredients: Dry: Organic whole wheat flour (ascorbic acid, amylase), organic ground cardamom, organic ground cinnamon, organic baking powder (alu, GMO and gluten-free), natural sodium bicarbonate. Wet: organic maple syrup,  organic blackstrap molasses, organic unsweetened applesauce, distilled vinegar. Sauce Anglaise: organic cashews, organic coconut milk, pure vanilla extract.

Ingredients you will need:

  • 250 ml 100% pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tbsp. vinegar

Special equipment you will need:

  • High-speed blender

Bake Time:  40-45 mins.    Yield: 12-16 servings.
